Riding UTV/ATVs – What To bring to ride UTV’s in Vegas

When you’re on an adventure that only an ATV Las Vegas experience can provide, you need to wear the right clothing and bring the right equipment with you to truly get the most out of it. ATV/UTV excursions whereby you’re in or on modern vehicles are in some ways easier and in other ways harder than previous years. Below are the items recommended for ATV riding in Las Vegas with Ultimate Desert Adventures.

Helmet

The single most important thing you can bring with you is a riding helmet. Make sure it fits you, and that it has passed all the relevant industry-standard tests so it fully protects you should an accident occur. If you are in Vegas for a rental at Ultimate Desert Adventure we provide helmets for you!

Riding Jacket

The good old riding jacket with protective padding is one of the very first things to consider renting or buying. The key is to have padding that is on the chest and spine. Most riding jackets will have padded shoulders too, but you want to protect your vital organs the most and of course, your spine. Riding jackets are also water-resistant but not waterproof, so let’s move onto the under layers.

Underlayer

It’s a good idea to buy an underlayer made out of cotton so your skin can breathe under all that clothing. An underlayer can be thin or moderately thick, it can either be a fleece, a long-sleeve top or a simple polo shirt. Underneath the underlayer, you should wear a thin t-shirt because Las Vegas is warm most of the year.

Riding Goggles

When you book Las Vegas ATV Tours with us, we provide you with riding goggles. They will protect your face from debris kicked up by the tires as well as sand and dust.

Riding Gloves

If you are renting one of our Polaris UTV vehicles we have protective gloves for sale if you prefer driving with gloves. Riding gloves have padding around the joints so if debris hits your hand. These gloves will protect your hands from tree branches as well..

Personal Equipment

You won’t be riding around forever, you’ll be camping and enjoying the sights as well. So bring along some or all of this list of personal equipment.

  • A first aid kit. Each person should have their own personal aid kit that has all the basics.
  • A canteen. A good old canteen that holds about 1-liter of water is a must for a desert adventure.
